PAIA: The Archive is the inaugural publication of EdgeMedia Editions, Volume I of the Paleo AI Archaeology series, and the first work entered in the EdgeMedia Editions Registry.
The publication documents selected artifacts and archival materials from Paleo AI Archaeology, an ongoing artistic research project by Paul Domzal. Paleo AI Archaeology examines images created with early public AI image generators during a period of pronounced visual instability, ambiguity, and indeterminacy, and considers what those images preserve about a rapidly disappearing mode of machine interpretation.
As EME-0001, the publication establishes the founding implementation of the EdgeMedia Editions model: a collectible physical publication documented through an authoritative Registry record, with each issued copy assigned a unique Copy ID and associated with one uniquely minted NFT.

- Each numbered physical copy must carry its Copy ID, be hand-signed by Paul Domzal with its copy designation (for example, 001/025), and be authenticated through its Copy Record and documented physical and onchain evidence.
- NFT custody
- At the owner’s election, EdgeMedia Editions may retain the NFT in a designated custodial wallet while the Holding Record identifies the buyer as beneficial owner and EME only as custodian or wallet controller.
